Frequently asked questions

What time can we check in at the Museum Cottages?
You are invited to check in to both the Cottage Apartments and Stepping Stones Cottage from 3pm.

What time do we need to check out on our departure date?
On your departure date, check out is at 10am.

Do the Cottages have parking facilities?
Yes, there is 1 allocated space per apartment plus 2 spaces allocated for Stepping Stones cottage.

What is included in the price of an apartment?
All bedding, electricity and heating is included in both the apartments and Stepping Stones cottage.

Is there any accommodation suitable for the less-able?
Some apartments are split between 2 floors therefore guests would need to be able to climb stairs in those instances. Please contact us if you require assistance.

Are you allowed to take pets to the cottage?
Yes, pets are permitted at a small charge.

My friend is a non csma member, can they come and stay with me?
Yes, as long as a csma member is staying in either the apartment or Stepping Stones cottage, friends and family are most welcome.

If I make a booking can I select a preferred apartment?
Yes, you can select a preferred apartment and providing it is available you will be able to book it.

Are the cottages available all year round?
Yes, the cottages are available for long or short breaks all year round including Christmas and New Year.

What will I need to take with me?
Towels and tea towels are not provided, otherwise the kitchen is fully furnished, along with the bathroom, bedroom and lounge with TV and video.

Where exactly are the cottages situated?
The cottages are situated right in the heart of Bourton-on-the-Water, overlooking River Windrush, just off the High Street - the cottages and museum are clearly visible from the road.
